老實說，在半個小時前我還沒聽過這個團體。

平常聽音樂習慣非常鐵齒的我因為看了 Jon Brion (singer, song composer for “Punch Drunk Love” & “I Heart Huckabee”, etc..) 在某段影片裡強力推薦 Of Montreal 的音樂和歌詞，感覺要是還不去打聽一下 Of Montreal 是哪裡的（加拿大？）怪力亂神的團體那就太對不起喜歡 Jon Brion 指數 88 的自己了。

於是就是 wiki 樂團簡介和 youtube mv 了。

wiki 沒有告訴我太多八卦，不過原來他們不是加拿大團體，命名為 Of Montreal 的起因似乎是 Kevin Barnes（主唱/編曲/作詞）與一位 Montreal 小姐失敗的戀情。

Of Montreal 絕大部份的唱片封面與 mv 的畫面是 Kevin Barnes 插畫家弟弟 David Barnes 的作品。（整個是肥水不落外人田到了極致）

由於我認識他們的音樂齡只有 30 分鐘，要講說他們的音樂有多讚我也不是很確定。但是 youtube 上 7 out of 7 mv 的歌我都很喜歡，尤其是配上那稍微有點可愛（又有點賤）的動畫，當聽覺與視覺同時被滿足時我就得說他真是值得推薦 。

開頭有讓我「ㄝ… 這該不會是另一個 Scissor Sister 吧？」這首歌的風格有點像不過易膩與頭痛指數比剪刀姊妹低很多，只是歌曲的 ending 又讓我有點傻眼。

這首歌也有收錄在電視劇 Weeds 的原聲帶裡（難怪我覺得很熟）。

Hopefully the “Untitled Nina Simone Project” won’t get canceled and actually gets released in 2009. It’ll be the first time I look forward to a biographical film. This woman was probably indeed crazy but I am insanely in love with her music. Her fingers on the piano keys are just simply exquisitely fluid and sexy. What’s life to live without some kind of madness? The true sad thing about life may be to live through life painfully ordinary and indifferent. May we all be the most important crazy bitches in our lives.

And if not… who cares! :)

After Bjork’s concert last month, I’m still very much infatuated by her music, characteristic, voice and overall everything. The way that she’s so humble yet has so much passion in creating her music and that she is also very strong and firm in expressing and performing the creation of her music with her amazing vocal. After watching an old interview of Bjork and Charlie Rose on Google Video, makes me want to give her new album Volta another taste in listening. Though loved the 3 songs from the new album that she did perform in the concert, the rest of the album was a bit much for me. Perhaps the 2nd time around will turn my head around. I guess, can’t expect to have love in first sight with all the men/music you listen!

I know it’s yet another post about Bjork which is about 4/30 of my 耳膜的震動 which might still increase in the next few days. But like I said, it’s an infatuation that you will just have to bear with till I slowly grow out of.

五個小時的等待，排隊，奔跑，卡位，讓站起來後肉眼能清清楚楚的看到歌曲間奏時的她離開麥克風的嘴努力開磉與看到台下的反應輕微偷笑的表情，她的舞動不是什麼流行的舞步或電臀，舉手投足卻都有音符奔散出，那是一種與歌曲完全融合，歌聲與動作皆是她音樂裡樂器的一部份。從冰島駕臨鹿湖的小小身軀有響破天的歌聲，說話時又猶如孩子般的語調，話不多的她光是在唱完兩三首歌時多說一個「Thank you very much」就能讓整場陷入瘋狂吶喊的狀態。結束數小時在家的路上仍能清楚的聽到尚在腦海裡敲打著「Army of Bjork/(me)』的旋律。Thank you and bye bye, Bjork.
